About our cause
Basingstoke Loddon Rotary provides a much loved and valued service for the community including support for:
- The Community Foodlink (Basingstoke) - collect fresh nutritious food from local supermarkets for distribution to those most vulnerable - £250 donated
- Basingstoke and Area Tinnitus Support Group - £250 donated
- Citizens Advice Tadley - £500 donated
- Sherborne St John Social Club - Improving disabled facilities, renovating and making eco friendly - £250 donated
- Home Start – Supporting Young Parents in Basingstoke project - providing emotional & practical help - £500 donated
- The Safe - Helping local families with a safe place to let their children play at playgroup sessions whilst parents are supported with both social and practical support. Specifically buying food that is needed to prepare take-away meals for the weekly playgroups - £550 donated
- Link2 - club for young adults (18-30) with learning disabilities based at Hatch Warren & Beggarwood Community Centre - £250 donated
- Breakout Youth – LGBTQ+ Youth Basingstoke Branch – offering a confidential support service for people aged 11 to 25 - £250 donated
- Basingstoke & District Young Carers - supporting young carers aged 8 to 18 in Basingstoke & Deane - £550 donated
- Community Defibrillators at The Orchard (Basingstoke Voluntary Action & local charities HQ) - £250 donated
- Cafe Dome Project at Brighton Hill - community cafe providing supported employment for people with learning disabilities - £250 donated
- The Camrose Centre - helping homeless and vulnerably housed people - £500 donated
- Basingstoke Foodbank - £200 donated
- Oakridge Road Fire Fund - £400 donated
- ToughEnoughToCare - Straightforward and practical hub for young people in particular, facing challenges with their mental well-being.£250 donated
- Helping Cats & Dogs - Non-profit animal rescue based in Basingstoke- £250 donated
- Hampshire & Isle of Wight Amphibian & Reptile Group - £250 donated
- Heartbeat - Community Defibrillator Project Fundraising at two local pubs to provide them with Defibrillators - £250 donated
- Spotlight UK - Supporting local families in need of help with their children - £250 donated
- Inspero - Help to Rebuild their Charity Garden after arson - £250 donated
We aim to give a £250 donation to each good cause in 2024 and 2025 - additional causes regularly added!
